Programs at the Accademia Italiana are recognized by important universities all over the world. A specific study abroad program has been active for years with Arcadia University, Center for Education Abroad, which allows students from many major US universities to attend the Accademia Italiana for academic credit. Through this program students from more than one hundred US universities have attended the AI programs in Florence and in Rome. Among these universities are: Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, Cornell, George Washington University, Villanova, University of Illinois, University of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Washington, UCLA, Santa Clara University, and many others.
Students successfully completing the three year programs in Italy in the various design areas are awarded, in addition to the diploma of the Accademia Italiana, a bachelor’s degree (BA (Hons)) from the prestigious University of Wales, the second largest university in the UK. This validation was approved after a long period of study by the University of Wales to ensure that the academic programs proposed by the Accademia Italiana were of the highest level.
In its more than twenty years of activity the Accademia Italiana has grown from every point of view, developing its structures and programs in various directions. The international contacts have also increased and a network of cultural relationships on a global level has been established. Currently the Accademia Italiana has programs active or is activating programs in Thailand and has cooperative exchange relationships active with Institutes and universities all over the world, including Germany, Sweden, Russia, South Korea, Brazil, Australia, China and many others.
The Accademia Italiana is a dynamic structure, always open to experimenting, ready to pick up on changes, updating its know-how constantly, in close contact with the outside world and with the cultural, artistic and industrial production reality.
The opening of the new centre in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia corresponds with the current development policy of the Institute which sees in the Balkan Region a potential source of youthful creativity. This creativity, if accompanied by an adequate technical knowledge can furnish to industries the growth potential that will be able to fill the needs of an international marketplace.
